Miles Jay was born in Vancouver, Canada. He grew up on set as the son of a television director and a props master. His early aspirations were to become an athlete but while in high school he began to seriously pursue filmmaking as a career after enrolling in a TV production class. From then on he spent his family vacations reading Final Cut Pro manuals. He enrolled in Ryerson University’s filmmaking program where he made a short film “Blink” which won Best Director & Best Film at the TIFF Student Showcase. A year later he went on to direct “Carly’s Cafe”, an interactive film intended to help viewers relate to a young autistic girl’s experience, Carly Fleischmann. That film went on to win the Young Director Award in Cannes in 2012. Since then he has gone on to win numerous awards, including the Jury Award at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival for “The Statistical Analysis of Your Failing Relationship”, a Grammy nomination in 2017 for his Leon Bridge’s music video “River”, an Emmy for his John Malkovich Squarespace film, a Cannes Lions Grand Prix for his Jay-Z video “Smile” and two Director’s Guild of America nominations for Best Commercial Director in 2016 and 2018.

Christian Vorländer and Simon Heeger have been wanting to kickstart their own company since they first met 13 years ago at music college in the Dutch town of Enschede. Both German natives, their careers since have seen them work in both adland and the movie business, with Simon most recently spending time at "Yessian" and Christian working as a composer on Mad Max: Fury Road, as well as working with composer Hans Zimmer. At the beginning of 2016 the long-time friends bit the bullet and launched 2WEI Music, a boutique music production company based in Hamburg, Germany.

Salomon was born in South Africa. His career began in music and sound design after recording his own tracks during his formative years spent in Johannesburg. Stints in Dubai and Sydney followed where he was influenced by and absorbed into the culture and music around him. He naturally evolved into writing and scoring films before actually picking up the camera himself and directing self-funded or Kickstarter projects, most notably Anomaly, which grew from a two-minute short into a thirty-eight minute independent film that has widely inspired other filmmakers to use crowdfunding. Salomon’s films have a beautiful and distinctive style of cinematic storytelling, always with a human story at its core. His body of work is growing rapidly, with short films like Rocket Wars, commercials for Tesla, Valvoline, Puma, Audi, Mercedes, and others, as well as music videos for artists like Daughter and Young Fathers. Salomon now lives in New York City with his young family.

Whilst studying he won two D&AD Student Awards, with music videos for Damon Albarn’s “Monkey: Journey to the West” and Bob Dylan “Like a Rolling Stone”. Sam lives in East London with his girlfriend Diana and their three cats. He’s an award-winning director renowned for his cinematic style. Known for capturing unique moments on camera, his music videos and commercial work have earned him an indelible reputation as a filmmaker. Sam’s music video work includes the Cannes Lion / SXSW selected “Nobody Speak” for DJ Shadow & Run the Jewels, UKMVA winner “She Knows” for J. Karim has also been shortlisted as New Director of the Year by Shots and featured in Dazed Magazine as one of the top new creatives in the world. With his cinematic and provocative style, Karim has built striking campaigns for brands like Converse, H&M, and Gillette, as well as his “Superstar” campaign for Adidas, featuring Pharrell, Rita Ora, David Beckham, and Damian Lillard. Most recently, Karim has shot a visually enthralling film for Rimowa, starring the world-famous tennis player Roger Federer aka „Mr. Swiss“. Niclas Larsson was born and raised in the Swedish coastal town Gothenburg, where he began his acting career at the young age of six. After starring in numerous acting gigs during his childhood and teenage years, he eventually moved into directing shorts and music videos. Larsson did not complete his film degree at the USC in Los Angeles, but instead took a leap of faith and moved to Stockholm. He soon started assisting directors like Adam Berg and Marlind/Stein. His first music video became an instant YouTube success – granting him a seat at the table as a director with Camp David. He rapidly became one of Scandinavia’s most sought after commercial directors – working with clients like Adidas, Netflix, Volvo, and T-Mobile. In 2013 Larsson finished his acclaimed short-film, “Vatten” – which won him numerous awards, and has toured festivals around the globe. Today he’s represented by Iconoclast and is a partner at Newland in Stockholm together with Gustav Johansson and producer Erik Torell. Right now he’s busy putting together his first feature film.

After studying graphic design at RISD, Ryan Staake worked for several years as a designer on Apple’s Human Interface Team, contributing to the experience of the iPhone, iPad and MacOS X before departing to pursue film direction and production. With a collection of 10 Vimeo Staff Picks, millions of YouTube views and international screenings of his works, Ryan has successfully merged his design and technology background with the worlds of music video and commercial production. Referred to as a “director of firsts,” Ryan is primarily interested in doing something new: working with unique camera rigs, 3D scanning, deepfakes, drones, thermal cameras, UV light, VR/AR and more. He constantly pushes his crew, clients and self to mine fringe technologies for their untapped image-making potential. Staake’s work focuses on collections of differences, rather than a single route. Having photographed and directed hundreds of music videos and commercials over the last 30 years, Samuel Bayer has firmly established himself as one of the industry’s most prolific and sought-after talents. A 1987 graduate of New York City’s School of Visual Arts, Bayer was a painter who saw film and video as the perfect medium to deliver his art to a greater audience. He launched his career with Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” a landmark video that MTV has consistently rated as one of the most influential music videos ever made. His decision to photograph the Nirvana video himself infused it with a distinct style and attitude that started him on a path he’s blazed ever since. His hands-on approach to filmmaking so clearly imprinted on his work, Bayer chooses to light, photograph and operate the camera on everything he shoots. On the heels of his work with Nirvana, he went on to create countless videos for a myriad of diverse artists including The Rolling Stones, Sheryl Crow, John Lee Hooker, Marilyn Manson, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, David Bowie, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz and Blink-182.

His credits include films such as Tim Burton’s “Charlie And The Chocolate Factory,” “V For Vendetta”, and “Harry Potter V & VI,” among many more. Before segueing into the film industry, Tino worked as an architect in Daniel Libeskind’s office. With the company Optimist Design, Tino has worked for clients such as Daft Punk, Kanye West, Nike, Google, and Porsche, only to name a few. Tino is creating the future with his new shop and company Supershop.
